Poem about Community

I open this poem with alacrity and doubt

Thinking how to improve- create a better community

If you ask me, I would need the seed of development

Then I plant it in my community

Everybody around is the seed

Strong society sprang from everybody

I make a difference because I’m a little seed

I will recreate, I will organize, and I will improve

From the inside to the outside

From my heart to my body

From my house to my community

From myself to my peers and family

For my community.

Question causes doubt

Doubt about our community

I keep asking what to do, and then I discern

First, own our lives- build our confidence and responsibility

Second, empower ourselves- improve mental, emotional, and physical health

Third, influence our community- decorate and improve our homes, and environment

Not a complication, we help through volunteering and assistance – curiosity to help and develop

Not an exaggeration, we participate for cross-fertilization, revolution, and wisdom for humans and society

We gain some muscle in our heads and use the muscle in our hearts for our hope and community and for our people

I have very simple resources, as a high school student– those are the ways I can make my community a better place to live
